Putting Supercharger soon... dilemma

Ok guys I've got two questions for you. This is what's going on with my car: I'll be installing a Vortech supercharger in the next few weeks along with a ported Cobra Intake (both upper -was cut and ported- and lower intakes) and a built C-6 trans with reverse pattern valve body and transbrake. The car has already the following parts: Thumper heads, 1.7 RR, 65mm TB, C&L 73mm MAF, Bassani complete exhaust system (headers, x pipe, cat back), Tweecer, 180* thermostat, 24 lbs injectors, fuel pressure regulator, 3.73 gears. The following parts will be removed because of the supercharger and intake build up: ported stock upper intake, Holley Systemax I lower, MAC Cold air (I may be selling them since I'll have no use for it)

Questions:

1) I was told to get a 3000 rpm torque converter because the car is my daily driver. Would that be ok or would you recomend a higher TQ converter?

2) I have an F-303 camshaft laying around. Should I put that cam along with the supercharger and intake?

Any help will be appreciated

I know it is a long post. To make the story short:

1) Is a 3000 RPM torque converter ok for my combo (vortech supercharger, ported stock heads, ported cobra intake, 1.7 RR, full exhaust, 3.73 gears) or should I go higher?

2) Should I keep my stock cam or should I put the f-303 cam I have laying around?

don't know about the TC, but as for the cam, its a good cam. The stock cam is a great cam for a supercharger especially once you get 1.7 rockers in there. I ups the lift to like .480ish. now the F-303 cam has a .512 lift already so you'll need to make sure about your not tapping out your valves. If your doing the work yourself, then go for it. Make sure you spend some time with your tweecer getting all the bugs out. I would reccomend taking it somewhere that has supercharger knowledge the first time ou have it tuned anyway though. Its up to you whether u toss the cam in or not, but I like power mines making with it, and it sounds hellagood.

how much boost you gonna be running? FMU or no FMU?

IF this car is your daily drive or usually street driven, a 3000 stall converter is nice!....With a blower, you should definitely get a PI converter.

Agree with stock cam...You can make lots of power with the other stuff...You will need larger MAM, injectors for sure, and a chip/programmer...You ESPECIALLY will need that if you change out that cam.

Hey RC,

Would you mind emailing me your Tweecer File? I do have a Tweecer and would like to take a look at your modifications.

1. Post your Email address, so I can just click on it and attach the file(s)

2. Which one(s) do you want?

I have base, which is just the fan, egr, smog delete, tranny settings etc.
The current ones adjusts my MAF(30's) for the 36's Im using and has some A/F adjustments..
