quad shocks?

anybody have a pic of it? i want to fit some bigger tires under there. wondering if you guys could give me some info on this.

i know i have upper and lower control arms. they came with the car. but i looked and i didnt see a quad shock..... it would also help if i knew what it looked like.

i tried looking through my pictures and this is the best i came up with.

it looks like a short shock. i took them off mine. from what i understand you dont need them if you have aftermarket control arms. they are all black and mounted on the rearend going up to the body.

If you had them you'd know. From the side of your car look over the rear tire. You'll see it mounted from the chassis to the suspension. They're useless if you have decent aftermarket control arms. Also, if you are going with wider tires and rims you will have to take them off in order for the inside of the tire to clear.

depending on the rim size you can fit up to 275 plus or minus without the quad shocks

You can also flip your quads the other way for a little more tire clearance.

It all depends. With my lift bar setup, I did notice wheel-hop without quad shocks.

anybody? im going to buy some tires for my rims so i kinda need to know how big i can go. there for the 96 cobra wheels. you can see em in the second pic sitting in front of the car.

i fit 275s on my 17x9.5inch cobra r's on there without rubbing, no quad shock tho

you just need some good lower control arms and you can take the quads off.

And woody - the quads are the shocks that mount at a 45* angle.

ok seems i have upper and lower control arms and no quads. but i do have 2.5 inch tailpipes. whats the biggest i can fit without rubbing?
