i'm a new owner of 88-354 black saleen and noticed that my rims looks the same as the '89 ssc but in polished color.
Is it posible that those rims came as original equipment in 1988?

Congradulations on getting a Saleen :nice:

The DP5 rims were only on the SSC and SC cars. The 5 spoke was an option in '88 with the mesh being the standard wheel. If you have the DP5 rims, great! Just be careful hitting the turns as they have been known to crack.

BTW.. I have never seen them in a polished state, care to share a picture of them?

Congrats!

Yep, he is correct. If you have 5 lug Dp5's then they were added. Polished. Interesting. Never seen that either. Let me know if you would like a correct set of wheels for your car. My basket case 89 #28 is a roller right now. I have it on a set of the grey basket weaves that are straight and spin true. I have been meaning to mount some tires on the white 5 spoke AR's that the car came with and clean that set up and throw them on E-bay. I would rather see them go to a correct car though.

here goes a picture.
I'm in search for the center caps and emblems
