question about balancers

yes

yes you have to get the same weight imbalance balancer...I.E. 50oz or 28oz or zero......or you can just take the crank out and have them drill a ton of holes in it too become the weight of your new balancer....oh and you would have to change your flywheel or flexplate also as they are specific for the motors imbalance...hope i helped a little

balancers

depends what year but i know 87 to 95 is 50oz....romac is ok...but trust me you get what you pay for.....just make sure its SFI approved.oh, and you may also need a spacer with some of those aftermarket balancers....they usually tell you if you do in the add

ok now how would you go along getting a 28oz balancer, would that mean youd need your rotating assembly balanced to 28oz?
the older 5.0's had 28 oz imbalance. you should talk to the shop to make sure you are all on the same page. i think they meant that when the balanced the rotating assembly (dynamically), they used your balancer.

Pioneer and PP make well liked balancers. Romac is excellent, but $$.
