Question about BFG Drag Radials

I'm getting tires for my new rims tomorrow and I have a few questions. I'm getting BFGoodrich 315 35 17 drag radials for the rear, and I see two different tread patterns online.

I'm hoping it will be the first tread pattern. If it's a newer design, then I am sure that is what I will be getting, since I am getting these from Belle Tire.

With that being said, the guy recommended that I get the BFG KDW for the front to match. Does that sound right? I just told him that I wanted 315 drag radials, and something matching on the front. Do I have to specify a certain tread pattern? If they end up being the second design, what tire matches those? I just don't want it looking goofy.

I have the bottom one.

The first one is the G-Force Drag Radial and the second one is the Drag Radial2(the old design). I would definately specify what tread pattern.

I have the old ones except they are on 15" wheels, they hook like a mother.
