hey guys,

I'm putting my underdrive pulleys on that i just got from march performance. The pulley that is on now had a bold in it that screws into the camshaft, i guess this is what hold on the harmonic balancer and the pulley. the new pulley is held on by the 4 allen wrench screws that screw into the harmonic balancer. But here is the problem the hole in the new pulley is too big to hold the bolt that screws into the camshaft it will just slide through the opening. So am I supposed to run w/o this bolt or what should i do? ....... Thanks for your help

Alrigtht, I'm gonna take it that you're new to cars, cuz the bottom pulley is your CRANKSHAFT pulley, not cam pulley. And the pulley bolts to the harmonic balancer, not directly to the crank. The large bolt that I think you're talking about holds the balancer on the crank. The four allen head bolts are necessary because of the reduced diameter of the underdrive pulley. Just pull the 4 bolts on the crank pulley and it should just come off. It make stick a little but nothing a slight tap shouldn't remedy. I just put some on a friend of mines car last weekend, and it took just a few hours with changing the water pump out too. So it's no sweat. Good luck.
