First off I want to say sorry if this doesn't make any sense. I just downed a bottle of vodka, so I'm kinda out of it. I recently purchased a 302 engine from a guy that came out of a truck. It is in good shape, and I am planning on rebuilding it. Now my question is will this block work in my car? Will everthing bolt up properly? Also, I recently found out that the person I bought the block from isn't the most honest person in the world. Is there a way that I can tell if this block is really a 302? Are there any seriel numbers I should look for? Please hel- me out, cause I'm kinda worried about this.

The block should work fine in your car. Im sure if you get the casting # from the block, you will be able to reference what CID it is.
