question about ford racing 5-lug conversion drum kit

does the ford racing 5-lug conversion drum kit have the same length axles as the stock foxbody or are they longer? also i noticed they are a 28t not 31 like some kit...is it still a decent kit...i mean once i have the axles i can upgrade to discs anytime right?

They are the same as fox lenght axles. When i bought my kit back in 2001, Ford just included OEM ranger axles and drums...the kit was also $199.

Now i think the kit includes aftermarket 28 spline axles, and costs a rediculous price of $400 or something.

Can you swap to disks? Yes, but you will need special axle brackets from north race cars and a rotor hub spacer.

okay...so is that the right way to upgrade to rear discs or would that kinda be piecing it together? i want to do it right but i would like to do it in stages due to money being a little tight.
