question about gas fume canister in fender 94 gt

I am wondering does anyone know if I need it connected. most of my emissions stuff is gone. I do still have the vacuum hooked up for the solenoid off of the intake. just wondering if there is a benefit to leaving it hooked up because it looks about time to replace the vacuum tubing for it

It's nice to keep gas fumes in a closed system.

If you bypass it, the car really stinks of fumes, it sucks.

thanks guys looks like i'll be replacing the vacuum line for the solenoid and keeping it intact
