I recall hearing on here that this is a Syn-blend oil. Is this true or false.

My dealer down the street from work told me 22.50 to change the oil in my GT, which seems like a price thats too good to be true for a syn-blend. I plan on doing it there as its a block away from my work, so I can drop it off in the morning and pick it up on lunch.

Is this a syn-blend like I've heard, or plain old dinosaur oil?

ya, supposedly its relabeled castrol syntec blend. but it really is a blend. when i worked at perry lincoln in SB, they charged 21.50, plus tax and disposal, for an oil change and "inspection."

The syntec blend is just a gimic. There is only about 10 to 20% synthetic in that oil. I would recommend going to a full synthetic. There is nothing special about the motor craft oil. Full synthetic is worth the extra money.
