Question about my Dyno???

I have dynoed my car with the numbers in my sig. But here is my question. A lot of local people out here who by the way own mustangs and love them just as much as I probley do or more. But they can't seem to believe that my torque is almost indentical to my horsepower. They believe that is uncommon. most people who drive my car actually believe it could get in the 12's though personaly I highly doubt that. They shop that ran my dyno said that it is close but at all not uncommon. I recently raced a friend who has an ss camaro 1999 who ran a 1/4mile recently at 12.8. Yet on 4 street races as always come out ahead at least half a car, which means the tip of his car is usually right by rear tires. He believes it cause he seen it but thinks my dyno numbers are off, even though I think they match with what I have. Can people share with me what there dyno numbers are and tell me if this is accurate?

the 96-98 cars usually have around the same torque as horsepower mine for example is 288rwhp and 287 rwtq, my power mods are bbk off road h, magnapack catback, bbk pullies, drop in k&n, also 4:10's, to me your dyno numbers look accurate

SAE numbers (RWHP calculated on the dyno) are a mathmatical way of giving you RWHP and RWTQ, by taking different things into consideration such as temperature, humidity and such....it creates a type of base line so that if you are doing testing in different conditions (which you always will be) you will have something to compare run to run. These are not definite numbers...but a best guess if you would.

Given that, I don't think your numbers "are off" as your friend thinks. Make sure that the numbers are SAE corrected. That is the standard measurment most use. If you are telling us your STD numbers, they would be higher than SAE.
