hey guys,
im buying a trick flow stage one cam to use with my rebuilt heads on my car, Currently im looking at a new set of roller rockers to add on as well, Im looking at the comp cam magnum roller rockers part # 1431C-16 . Will these work? Also what kind of valve springs do you guys recommend and what kind of timing chain? Would i need new pushrods?

Well since you said rebuilt heads you have the stock heads...ported or non-ported (Thumpers would be nice if you haven't already put them on your car) because he would get you the gt40 upgraded springs package...

Since they are pedestal mount...I had Crane 1.6RR's on my stock heads and they were very nice and quiet to :nice:

Yup, a second vote for the Cranes, although you may have to slightly modify the oil baffle in your valve cover to make them work. (I had to with my 1.7's). They're inexpensive and fully rollerized. If memory serves, aren't the Magnum rockers only roller tip? If so, although still better than the stock stamped steel rockers, they'll still produce a fair amount of friction at the pedestal.

Yeah my oil baffle had to be trimmed to get the 1.6's to clear...

My oil baffle is completely off my valve covers now (Cobra-aftermarket)...it doesn't hurt anything since the oil cap stops any "blow-by"...I had to remove it to clear the 1.6RR stud Scorpions (different than the pedestal Cranes mentioned)...

ok ill check out cranes, but will i need new pushrods? What kind of springs? Is there anything else you would recommend me replacing?
Nope, you're good with the stock pushrods (but if you've got lot of mileage on them, i'd replace them....they're cheap!) and I believe that Crane makes the GT-40 spring package as well, which would be fine for your needs. :nice:

No sure on what size pushrods you will need...I have 6.250 hardened pushrods with my 1.6 Scorpions and FTI cam w/ HR lifters...

Replace the lifters because their cheap insurance and some cam companys (if not most) will void your cam's warranty if you don't change them out with new ones...yes you can reuse them but the two reasons above are good enough...and plus you know you don't have to worry about "pre-failing" lifters...
