I am puting a 331 5.0 efi G-force .59 t5 trans and a 4.10 rearend in a 1965 cobra replica the car weighs only 2100lbs wet.
What intake do I want to use and what rpm range do I want to make power?
any other pointers???

I want this car to be an all around street preformer not worring about gas mileage!
And it may hit the track every now and then.

A better question is what do you plan on doing with the car? Road race? Drag race? Car show/Crusing?

Part of your plans have already been decided by your choice of rear end gearing. A 4:10 rear gear means that you need to be able to turn some RPMs and make power up high. That's good for drag and short track road racing, but not so good for car show/crusing.

Road racing on a track with long straights will have the engine redlining with 4:10's.

A light car with a 331 stroker isn't going to need tall gears to multiply torque like a heavier car would. A 3.55 rear gear would probably do fine and reduce the engine wear and noise level.

4.10's are way to much for that car. you will run out of gear in a hurry. My friend had a Factory 5 cobra kit car and with a supercharged 306 ( 8lbs of boost ) he was able to run 10's in the 1/4. with 380rwhp. He went with 3.55's and a 26" tall tire and said that if he any more motor he would be close to running out of gear in the 1/4. A stock 5.0 in that car with a good driver and launch can run low 12's.

well you gyes just saved me a lot of $$ I allready have a 3.50 gearset so I will go ahead and use them instead of having it rebuilt.

Ok back to the engine what should I do on the intake and cam ???
That goes back to what do you want to do with the car? ? Road race? Drag race? Car show/Crusing? The choice of what you do will dictate what heads/intake/cam is your best choice.

My friends car had a TFS street heat intake with an E-cam and AFR 165 heads. He never reallt ran it past 5800 but when he woul punch it on the high way the car juat about gave me whiplash. With a car that light I would try to keep the hp & tq were you will enjoy it the most.
