I'm thinking of maybe getting an 04 Mach 1 or a Ranger. I have a 95 GT right now and if I get the Mach 1 I'll probably trade off the GT and if I get the Ranger I'll probably keep the GT. So heres some of my questions.

What type of gas does the Mach 1 take? Is it Regular or one of the higher octane fuels?
I dont have a down payment but I'd have a trade in. So do you think I'd be able to afford it, without all of my money going to the car, if I'm working a part time job since I'm going to be in college?

I had some more but now I cant think of them.

If memory serves me right I believe they require at least 91 octane.
Its due to the 10:1 compression :)

Dont forget about the insurance costs. Since these cars have the "R" in the vin, their gonna hit your harder.
Im having to pay $400 for 6 months and Im 50 and no tickets in YEARS!

keep the GT and supercharge it......alot cheaper and faster than a mach 1. If it was me I wouldnt wrap a big chunk of my income in a car while workin only part time. Think of how much you'll be makin after college, then you could go all out and get the cobra. I made the mistake of buying my GT too early cause I was impatient and had to have something. If I had waited one year longer I could've got a new cobra.....but nooooooo. But I'm having fun with it.

Oh yea super charge a 10 year old car that should last a month or two or a few racers what ever comes first, you get what you pay for  And just think you have all those improvement a great tranny that can handle all the power and a good rear end to boot........A engine isn't all that's in a car.
