I just put my stock 17x8 Bullitts on my 68 Coupe. I have Nitto 245/45's all around. I might also note that I have Granada spindles and brakes.

My question is about the clearance of the wheel and tire to the upper control arm. I used a 1 inch spacers as that's what I've been told is what to use with that wheel on that car. I put the car back down, and there is only about a 1/4 inch clearance. Is this enough? I'm worried if it would move enough under cornering to rub. I have a couple of 3/16 spacers that I could put one on each side just for a little extra clearance, but I'd rather not due to the clearance of the outside of the tire and the fender.

Thanks.

IMO 1/4" is plenty. The rim/wheel shouldn't flex. The tire will roll over some but not much. I run my cars with less than that.

You can grind/cut back on the upper arm too. Here is a photo of an arm I did for my Falcon.

Awesome! Thank you!

BTW, I have a brand new set of spring perches sitting around, just waiting for your roller bearing parts. I will be buying your kit soon hopefully!
