Question about wheels and slicks for 97 Cobra

I have a 97 Cobra and am looking for some slicks for the track.

A local guy here in town has some SVO 5 lug 16x8's wheels with Mickey Thompson 26x8's slicks with 5 passes for $120. Will these wheels clear my brakes? Is this a good deal?

Yes the 16" rims will clear the rear brakes on a Cobra, some 15" rims clear the rear Cobra brake also with no gringing of the caliper. Sounds like a good deal, $60 per tire with rims.
