Question...need answer given to me like i've never seen a mustang

What is a windage tray, and what does it do....i have ABSOLUTELY no clue what this part is, please someone explain what it is, the pro's, and any cons, if any...thanks

it goes in the top of the oil pan to prevent sloshing oil fomr slowing down the rotation assembly....

Keeps engine parts from falling into your oil pan if the motor decides to let go

It reduces the amount of oil tossed up to the crank to help eliminate windage.

If you are gonna go to the trouble of putting one on you might want to look into getting one that is a windage/scraper unit all in one.

Might not be practical for a street car but you can check into the possibility.

Thanks fella's, I was just one ebay, and there was an add there saying it frees up 20 horsepower...so I had to ask...there's no way that would gain me those numbers, would it???

Nope, not worth the hassle of installing it with out the engine being out the car.
