Hi guys!

How does a ATX run in the 1/4 mile compare to a MTX given the same modifications?

Is the ATX a bad option for a performance car and should I switch to one of them Ford Racing transmissions?

I will be shooting for 350 rwhp to start with but will the ATX handle this and what would you reckon are the drive train losses on these cars? The engine as of now is said to have 370hp at the crank.

The previous owner says there is no H-pipe installed but do I need one? The car does need to pass emissions.

I know these are a lot of questions and quite similar but I do appreciate any useful response.

Thanks doc

ATX = automatic transmission, MTX = manual transmission?

Bleah - there's been entire books and endless magazine articles written on your questions. You probably ought to start reading them, as you seem to be starting from zero. If you're going to be wrenching on cars (or paying others to do it), it's going to be very helpful to understand how they work.

Yes, sorry about that.

I am starting from scratch on this car yes, but I did it all to my other car (not a stang) back in Europe. I have a set of Mustang performance books ordered from Amazon but they will be delivered to my US office and I am still traveling Europe so it doesn't help me at the moment.

Thanks
