question on cobra R rim brand and tire size?

I was looking at buying the cobra R black/chrome rims from cruizinconcepts with the nito555 tires. Does anybody have these on their car? I kinda like the look of the black and chrome to break it up a bit instead of the all chrome tires, also My car is white. The car is a 1993 mustang gt with the 4 lug setup. What rim size and tires size do you recomend. I want to stagger it ,so i was thinking 17x8 inch rims in the fron and 17x9 inch rims in the back? What tire size should I use on the front and back tires. Also, what about deep dish rims? or should I stick with the regular ones?

As of now I have stock springs ,but I may put the lowering springs on in a year or so after I do some engine mods. I am not sure if lowering springs will make a difference on tire size?

Thanks for any info!

I put 255/40-17's on 17x9's all the way around on my wife's 93 with no rubbing problems at all and it has Eibach Prokit springs. On my Saleen, I have 235/45's on the front and 255/40's on the rear on 17x8 & 17x9, again with no rubbing problems.

I have 255/40/17's on my 17x9 10th Anniversary Cobra's up front with stock springs and am getting just a hair of contact at full lock. The pre-91 cars weren't as generous with their inner fender well clearance as the '91-'93 models. That being said, these are Nexen tires (made by Michelin), which don’t run quite as narrow as the Nitto’s. The tires fit as squarely as any I’ve seen on a wheel and really don’t offer much in the line of curb rash protection and Nitto’s will fit tighter still. Keep that in mind when you make your decision.
