So here goes- I purchased an engine from a ford distributor. The distributor deals with ford , chevy and mopar. Anyway a few years back they purchased a dozen or so engines from ford that had been removed from vehicles damaged on dealer lots. All the engines were very low mileage(most less than 1,000). The distributor stored them, and all but forgot about them for a few years. Through the grapevine I found out and purchased one. It was a 1996 explorer motor with GT40 heads and injection system intact. I decided to use it as a platform for my mustang. My situation has changed and I sold the heads, however I still have the block and injection system. Wondering what the shortblock might be worth? Thanks for the input.
