Hey guys, I have a question on hooking up the coil on my 79 stang. Coming off the ignition control module I have the connection to the distributor. On that connection (3) of the wires go to the distributor and then there's a dark green wire with yellow dots. I'm sure it went to the coil but I'm not sure if it goes to the (+) or (-). Any help would be good. Thanks....

Thanks for the info. Is the Chilton that clear on the wiring? Or do you just know how to read wire diagrams? I've been looking at the Haynes manual. I see the DG - Y D on one side of the coil and the R - LG on the other side. But, I couldn't tell which was (+) and which was (-).

The only reason I remember it was I used to have the duraspark setup, and I recall the red/grn is your 12v hot source, and that always goes to the positive side of the coil...tach lead is always negative side of the coil...
