Hello i was wondering if any of you guys have used the steeda quick release clutch quadrunt. How big of a difference is there between the stock quadrunt , the steeda double hook quadrunt and the quick release quadrunt. Im thinking of getting the quick release quadrunt but i just wanted to no your guys info on this.

thanks

I, too, would like to know 120gt. I just bought the kit with the double hook, firewall adjuster, and adjustable cable. Have to wait a little while before I can intstall it. Thought I would bump this thread up for ya.

From what I understand, the quick release, as the name implies, gives little room for error when using the clutch. It releases kind of fast with little room inbetween. For racing it would be nice, but I don't think it would be too nice to drive on the street. I couldn't be happier with the double hook.

5.0 Nos, i thought the same. i think it comes down to preference and clutch used (i can imagine it would be a bit much on the street with an 'on/off' clutch). as i recall, Tom runs one on his street/strip car and likes it - he might chime in.

good luck.

I dont have a Steeda, but I did recently put in a BBK one, and I just wanted to tell you to chill out before you start cuz its a pain in the a$$ big time getting your hands up in there and crawling upside down and taking out the driver seat... ughhh glad its over.

it sounds as though he has to do a quadrant nonetheless. he just wants to know if the QR is a good way to go.

i was hoping Tom would pop up and say something. as i recall, he has one and likes it. i think it would really depend upon the clutch (pedal effort and length of engagement - an on/off type clutch might be a bit rough with it, but i dont know first hand - just speculation) and the cable situation (proper alignment, etc).

good luck.

I've got the steeda double hook, adjustable cable, and steeda firewall adjuster. I just installed two weeks ago. I've driven it every day since then and I'm very happy with it. I can't speak for the quick release quadrant. I can tell you that regardless of which one you choose, installation is going to test your patience. It did mine, but I got it done. It's worth the trouble!
