question?????

everytime i've started my car for the last month and a half or so, the needle on my guages shoot all the way up then come back down, kinda like when you start it for the first time after unplugging the battery or a computer chip change. why is it doing this now?????

My car did this for a while. I took it to the dealer they said it was normal i knew it was not. Go and get your battery and wiring system checked (advanced auto or some place like that, they do it for free) My problem was my battery was going out so the computer would do a check every time it started. So i went to advanced auto and they checked it come to find out the battery was good enuff toi start but not good enuff to keep the computer memeory i guess. Just my .02

my friend just told me the same thing lol, so i figure thats what it is. thanx.

Check you battery cables. Same thing happened to me and it turned out that the positive cable was lose and wasn't making a good enough contact with the battery. Just a thought,
