Guy's I cannot figure out why I ran a car report on my 1988 Ford Mustang GT Vert And I do not know if it was the site I used but the specs say that it was originally a 4 Speed Automatic.... It's definitely not now its got a 5 speed T5 in it.

But here is the thing I've took apart the shifter and it does not look this was a conversion. Also I wanted this car to be super stock so this sort of puts a big hole in that plan LOL. Also is there anything that I can look for to see if it was indeed swapped to a t5?

Here is the link where I got my information I am not sure if this site has correct info what do you guru's think?

It may have been the site. Recently I ran the Vin of a true 92 5.0 5 speed LX....the report came back as a 4 cylinder. This car was in the same family that bought it from the dealer in 91.

What's your 8th digit of the Vin ?

Door tag is what you want to check

Bottom right corner where "TR" is located is where you want to check. The first digit is all that matters here. "2" means 5-spd, a "T" means AOD. Above sticker would be a AOD car.

It looks like your car has been repainted, so the door sticker may not be there.
