questions about 2.3

hey i have a few questions im a new lx 2.3 owner. i just bought the car with 140,000 miles on it perfect body and interior looks really good no tears or anything..i purchased the car for a 5.0 coversion, but the more i read the more i hear how hard it is..so i would like to know what is the scoop on th 2.3 motor do they hold up well and can they perform?..my brother in law has a 3.8 ltr motor and its pretty quick for a 2003 stock car..i found a 5speed cnversion i want to buy since my 4 cyl is an auto but again is dropping 2-3 k on this car worth it i only payed$1000 for the car

also what type of motor swaps can i do on a 1993 lx i figured i could do a 302 or 351w any other known motors???

2.3 turbo motor is a common swap along with a T-5 5-speed transmission. Look through E-bay and your local junkyards. You could get this motor/transmission combo for well under $2-3k by either of these means.

What year? Pics please. 2.3 is a strong motor that is like the Energizer Bunny.

As far as engine conversions go you can put about anything in there that you can imagine...of course some are easier than others.
