I've researched and found conflicting information, and didn't find the info on flowmaster's website.

Question 1: Are the American Thunder catbacks using the 40 series muffler or the 40 series delta flow?

Question 2: If AT catback is the regular 40 series, is the Force II system the delta flow or the 50 series mufflers?

I'm still confused about all this

I dont think they even sell the Original Flowmaster 40s anymore...the American Thunder is the 40 Delta Flow and the Force II is the 50 Series Delta Flow.

I don't see why they wouldn't sell the original 40's anymore, but thanks for the info FlyBy

it's my understanding that the delta flows are quieter and generally dont sound as good as the original 40 series. is this correct? i too and thinking about getting flows but i want that "flowmaster sound", not some watered down ****!

As far as I know, the American Thunder catback still uses the old regular 40 series mufflers, not Delta Flows.

Mine have some kind of coating on them and they've been on there for over four years. No rust on them, but this isn't exactly rust central here.

i thought the only difference between the delta flow and oridg is that the delta have extra shell so that the interior noise is reduced
