why do you not like C&L...i mean i've heard a lot of good things about the pro-m, but the price was right on the C&L and injector combo.

IMHO, C&L mafs have gotten better over the past couple of years.

I most likely am guilty of past associations where they did not do as well.

My perspective of being a Tweecer self tuner also gives bias to my pro ProM choice.

You just don't have to work at it all that hard to get a transfer curve up and running when you choose ProM.

One last thing ... Maf's play more of a critical role on our cars than the Fox's.

Thats the reason the maf manufactures cheat mode doesn't work as well on our cars as it does on the Fox's.

ok so i'm in the process of installing all of my parts..its gone pretty smoothly except for 2 issues.
1. There are more hoses on the stock intake than the upper ron anderson. I have to look more into it, but are there by chance some hoses I will not need with this intake that I did with the stock one?
2. My hood won't shut with this intake. Well it will, but it is right up on the hood and against the heat shield. I don't know if this is a problem because if I put my foot in it, the cam might cause the engine to torque and hit the hood pretty hard..is that right? I really don't want to cut a hole in it, because I think it will look bad, and I don't have the money for a 3 inch with paint. Just wondering if there were any suggestions because I thought this intake was supposed to fit with oem fittings, hoses, and the hood.

Also, what do you guys think about the SCT vs. the Diablo tune?

Remove the heat shield - check to be sure the motor mounts are in good shape, you should be OK.

u think it will be alright without the heat shield, even if it is close, or touching the hood...takin the heat shield off doesn't seem too logical..especially since the intake will be an inch or even touching the hood.

are you sure its alright to take off the heat shield..i mean i am known to be wrong, but it doesn't seem too logical since the intake will be an inch or even touching the hood. The motor mounts are about to be replaced with polyeurothane ones because my exhaust hits the floor board. Let me know.

You can cut the heat sheild where it hits or just remove it all together. I got rid of mine when I switched to TW heads and gt40 intake.

All the lines coming off of the stock intake need to find a place on the new intake. They are for the things on your car that require vacuum. You may need to get some tee fittings and extra vacuum hose.

I hate to post should haves, but IMHO since money is tight you should have kept the stock TB; no need for a big TB with that combo. Return it if you can and save up for some heads or that Tweecer RT if you don't have it yet.
