i have a 68 coup with front disc and rear drums. i wanted to exactly find out what do i need to get these on my car. Like what kind or size spacers for the front and rear. Do i need to lenghthen the studs? any responses appreciated. THANX
I used 1.25in spacers on my car. Fits very close up front, with Granada Swap without rubbing. I can not say for sure in the rear because I have a 9in rear end out of a 66 mustang, so it is shortened compared to the cars original rear end. You may be ok with your current rear end without spacers. Mine fit without spacers in the rear, but the rear tires were inwards too far without them. It looked odd. Luckly, I ordered 2 spacers and got 4 in the package by accident. Called the company and they told me to keep em.
I have a 67 mustang and I used 1" spacers on mine, I could have gone wider in the rear I think...but it works. I might be selling my spacers soon pm me if your interested.
I have a 68 and with the same setup, and I am running 1.125" spacers. This works for original ford Bullit wheels, you must check backspacing on the others...
It's important to use the right terminology. Spacers are just pieces of aluminum with holes that use the stock lugs to mount the wheel to. Adapters are bolted to the stock lugs, but have their own set of lugs that the wheels mount to. Adapters are what you use if you need more than 1/2 inch or so.
