Well all of a sudden i looked up and its March 10th. I am graduating from college in May, and i will be undertaking my biggest project on the stang so far. Its going to be a 347 stroker with the Combo listed beow, and suggestions or comments would be great. From what i get here it gives me a couple months to research more and crunch the numbers. Thanks guys!

347 Stroker
10:1 Compression
Forged Rotating Assembly(possibility of nitrous down the road)

Heads:
I have Edel Performers with 1.90 1.60 valves on the car right now. I will most likely take them down to the machine shop and have 2.02 valves put in them, along with stronger valve springs to match the cam.

Intake:
The edlebrock performer RPM thats on the car now. I already have the throttle body end hogged out to 75mm to match my TFS elbow and i have a 75mm throttle body. I will have the lower sent out and ported by TMOSS to help with the flow as well.

Cam:
Im going to go with an FTI for this motor because i do have some specific goals for it, nothing crazy though. And i have seen such great things said about his work and customer service.

Tuning and Fuel: I have a PLX-300 wideband sitting in the box ready to install to go along with my TwEECer set up i have now. I have a walboro 255lph fuel pump in the car right now and an aeromotive fpr. I will most likely either be going with 30# or 36# injectors but im not sure, i think 30#ers should be fine but let me know if they are not.

Other: Of course all the gaskets and stuff i have a list for that. I most likely will also be doing a PA Racing K-member and 03 cobra A-arms while the engine is out, along with misc other front end suspension bushing and things.

I'd get some expert advice (not the shop doing the work - keep the Fox out of the hen house) on whether the larger valve is worth the effort/money - your bore is still 4.030" and the valves may be more shrouded, netting little compared to the money spent. Ed would be a good one to ask............

Shoot for more compression and don't waste your money on a heavy forged crank for a stock block.

Have you thought about selling your heads for something bigger? What are your goals? If you don't want to sell them maybe have the key area's fixed. You don't necessarilly need to hog them out, just clean up certain area's. Maybe a good valve job, bowl work and obviously milling is a MUST along with springs.

So what are you wanting from this engine? How high you want to spin it? Get an aluminum flywheel also.

Ok thats a good one. Changing the valves is one of my bigger questions. i think i got quoted 500 bucks or something when i asked a long time ago.

I would say i dont really want a super over achiever. 360rwhp would definitly make me happy. I am really interested in some nice torque. I was planning on having a 6,000rpm shift point. Nothing really out of the ordinary.

Sounds good Tom. Anyone have any input on the 30# injectors vs anything larger?

I had my heads ported and polished by tony mamo he works for afr now, anywayshe did a set exactly like mine b4 he did mine and flow tested them both the only difference being valve size and he said he was surprised to see that my heads 1.90 actually outflowed the 202 heads.

30's will be fine for you. If you are going to be spraying a dry kit, i'd go for the 36's and a 255 high pressure pump. If 30's work for me, they'll easily work for you. With a tweecer and a datalogging wideband you'll tune it pretty easily. I did notice 70% duty cycle on my PMS screen at appx 5000 rpm when I glanced down. I haven't checked at 6,700 rpm yet but at stock fuel pressure i'm sure my combo is close to maxing these 30's out.

John

Sounds like you are gonna be having some fun soon

I don't think 30's will be too small. I do think they will be close to the limit.

Most important part of what I said was the word THINK.

Get several opinions and do the necessary research. Always remember this, you are talking about using stock fuel pressure.

however

If my gut feelings are correct and it looks like you will be close to needing 36's, I'd move to them as you have complete control with your Tweecer

Ok Grady that sounds good. I will probably go with 36#ers because it will make it more on the safe side. I can tune it to run well with them anyways. Does FRPP offer 36# injectors or do i have to get them through someone else?

I MAY spray 100 shot down the road, way down the road, im gonna be so broke after this thing is done. I dont think a stock block would have any problems supporting this combo Naturally Aspirated.

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
