Question's regurading rear end.

First, I would like to say I am a new Ford owner. Before this, I only owned GM products. ( I know most of you probably hate me already, but you kind of like what you grow up with. ) Anyway, I love my '99 GT. I basically fell in love with it after driving it.

Anyway, on to the quesiton.

I was wondering if there was a database online with all the rear end codes on it, so that I could decode what I have. If not, could anyone help me out in identifying my rear end. I wish to change the fluid, but I don't know which gasket to get or if I need the added bottle of locker fluid.

I have '99 GT 5 speed. I would suspect I have an 8.8 in, but they also had the 7.5 in listing the parts stores for a GT. Sorry if this sounds dumb, but after much search I have not been able to find any code lists so that i could look it up myself. Thanks in advance.

All gts come with 8.8s

RTV instead of a gasket unless you want it to leak

It's an 8.8 with 3.27 gears if it is stock, and DEFINATELY add the limited slip additive.
