I decided to tackle my A/C problems a few days ago. I hooked up a gauge to it, and it was holding 7-8PSI. So I thought, hey, maybe it's just low! I put in 2.5 cans in, and it works fine!
So, here are my thoughts. Since it lost about 30PSI, I know I have a leak. But how do I go about the whole situation.
I wanted to wait to see how long it will take until it leaks enough for the compressor to not kick on anymore.
What's the minimum time period, when it finally leaks enough to stop working, that would warrant trying Stop Leak? I mean, if it leaks in a week I can't imagine Stop Leak doing any good.
I would rather not replace parts when I don't need to. I only use the A/C during the really hot times, so I don't mind not having a/c during winter, etc.
Let me know what you guys think! Hearing from anyone that has experience with this would be great!
