Quick Clutch Cable Question

Every six months I have to back off the nut at the clutch fork to get the clutch to grab tight enough. Now theres slack in the cable and not much room left for me to back off the the threaded rod.

After the adjustment the pedal grabs at the floor, now six months later it grabs very high again and will slip if I lug the motor. Any ideas?

Do you have an aftermarket adjustable quadrant and firewall? If you do get an original clutch cable from ford (dealer) and put that in. These adjustable cables are full of $hit. They stretch and snapp...!

aftermarket adjustable.. how can u use a factory one with an aftermarket quandrant? theyll be no adjustment.. simply the three spots on the quadrant? thats enough.. by the way.. this is on a lincoln mark vii

Did you read the instructions with you're quadrant? One hook for stock cable, one hook for adjustable cable, and the other if I remember correctly is for either cable with a firewall adjuster. It's been two years since i've done mine, might be wrong
