Yes, PBR pads.

They work nicely and don't make a lot of dust or any noise at all.

I find they grab better with a little heat.

Yep. All genuine OEM replacement calipers come preloaded with said pads.

is there any way to get those kits upgraded to slotted rotors?

Ya, buy everything "ala carte" like I did, but you'll wind up spending a whole lot more.
