Quick exhaust gasket question for AFR 165

Just finished cylinder head install. Car idles great, coolant flows, no leaks.....except the header gaskets. I tried some cheap soft aluminum gaskets from autozone. Still no seal. Afraid to really wrench due to the aluminum heads. I think part of the problem is me using the stock headers. I'm going to change that this week. Looking at the BBK shorty 1 5/8 in. Will the gaskets that come with these headers fit the AFR exhaust ports? If not, what header gaskets does everyone recommend? I hate exhaust leaks with a passion and don't want this new setup to leak.

they will fit but the bbk gaskets tend to leak after a while, they burned right through on mine, ended up getting some dead soft copper gaskets and have not had a problem since....if you hate exhaust leaks then its worth spending the 30.00 for copper ones

Are you referring to the Summit Part# 111430? Or something similar? What port dimensions did you use?
