Quick header question

This may be a dumb question but I need know. So I was about to buy the FRPP unequal length headers, when I noticed it says "Not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles.". I just wanted to know what is it that makes these headers non-legal. I have to pass emissions in maryland, but I cant image having slightly larger headers could really make any difference. Any thoughts?

Its just for legal reasons that they list it. Headers will not have a HUGE effect on your emissions. They CARB number is needed in california, but in MD, you'd be fine. Order away.

Always has to be cali messing up the emmisions ratings.
