which tires should I go with to help me hook with the new 4.10s? My sumitomos are worthless.

i've found a really good deal on some Nitto 555's, and the 555R's are $50 more each. I know i will hook with the DR's, but would it be overkill? will the 555's do the job as long as i dont floor it?

and if anyone knows of a real cheap place to get them, i'd appreciate it.

I have KDW's they rock. Drag radials are unneccessary, and not a wise move right before winter

Nitto 555's suck( and yes I am being biased cause they suck)

i wouldnt be using them on the street, just this saturday for the last weekend at the track, and only at the track next spring when it opens again. i have some crappy sumitomos for the winter. besides, its still not that cold around here.

Drag radials will suck in the winter and will perhaps hook too well (did you want to upgrade your axles anyway?)

yeah, i will upgrade to 31 splines and an auburn or eaton differential sooner of later. keep in mind, they will be used only at the track this saturday. right now its not too cold down here anyway. im from PA so i know how to drive in the snow. we get maybe* 1 storm a year and its not too bad, but still shuts the state down bc they're not used to it. im smart enough to know not to run DR's in the winter on the street. as soon as we're done at the track im putting my street tires back on.

would they really comprimise my rear end? all i have is exhaust and 4.10s, not much power putting down.

what about the 555's?

thanks guys

Nittos, KDWs. Anything but Sumitomos. Those were the worst tires I ever owned.
