quick question about the AOD

Will the AOD bolt into a 1986 Ford LTD? I have a guy intersted in buying mine and I need a deffinate answer thanks

What engine? 302 yes it will bolt in you need the floor shift from a v-8 mustang or if its column shift you have to fiddle with the linkage most likely but it will bolt right into a 302 the Ltd is a variation of the fox platform I think.I have seen people bolt alot of mustang things on them even a mustang GT front end and 95 mustang front brakes

The tranny itself will fit without an issue. However, the linkage on the LTD style AOD has a straight linkage for the shift cable and the stang one had a c-shaped one. Its either that way or the other way around. But that is the only issue. Everything else will bolt up just fine.
