Quick question for anyone who converted sd to mass air...

When you converted from sd to mass air, did you buy the wiring kit and use your existing sd harness or did you buy a complete harness from somewhere used....which is easier to do...I am a little hesitant about buying a complete used harness off somewhere like ebay for fear it may be defective...but since my engine and everything is out now I figured it would be easier to just get an entire harness and just make the swap...anything I should be wary of?

Look for the Ford racing kit, it will save you sooo much time & hassle. I got mine brand new off ebay for 350$. Brand new i think its 600 but its worth it. Its only one wire to the computer as opposed to other kits thta are cutting and splicing everywhere.

yeah I have looked at the new FRPP kits but I'd like to spend not quite half of what they go for new to convert my car...

FMS could make a mint if they sold JUST the computer and harness instead of the rest of that kit.

there are kits all over ebay, just get the mass air, computer and wiring piggy back....its pretty easy and comes with instructions if you get it from the right person.

no need for the complete wiring harness. you just need the plug/wiring for the mass air meter. also check out www.fordfuelinjection.com you can buy the stuff there too.
