quick question on hood latch...pic's

ok i just put on my hood i got for xmass thats been hanging on my wall. how do you put the latch on that locks it down? it obviously doesnt slide in there like the factory heres some pics to help you see what i mean...

Believe it or not it goes in very much like the stock one I dont remember exactly how I did it but it does fit together if yours is from Cervini! U can always call them they are good people and helped me a lot and I didn't even buy it from them!!

ya mines a cervini but i didnt buy it from them... there is no holes or any way to bolt that peace in.

Thats just the spring...it pops the hood up when you release the cable. Its not really needed, i don't know why Cervini doesn't use it. I'm sure you could modify a small coil spring to allow the hood to come up to release the latch.

ok then why wont my hood latch? it is lower on the driver side then the passanger side. is it being to low preventing it from latching?

Whenever installing a new hood, you'll usually have to adjust the latch mechanism. It probably needs raised to catch. Just two bolts holding it. May need moved left/right too if the hood shifts while lowering onto the latch. Hoods are finicky bitches,lol.

Agree. I had to do this with my hood to get it to latch. It is a Cervini's also.
