Quick question on rings

im assembling an old I.H. 152 4-banger for an old scout for a friend. with his rebuild kit came chrome rings. what i need to know is what lube to use for assembly. with moly rings i use 10w or wd-40, with cast rings i use sae 30 or 15w40(made a mistake years ago, used bearing saver lol) ive never used or intended to use chrome rings before so never paid attention on what to use, so please edjumacate me.
 
I depends on how long it will sit before you start it up. Straight 30 weight should be fine if you are going to run it within a a day or two. If longer I use an engine assembly paste called "Luberplate" which is a paste that will not run off the parts until the engine just starts to heat up. Of course it helps to spin the oil pump over a few minutes with a drill to build oil pressure before starting.
