Ok, out cars are the SN95 body.... What are the '99-'04 called?

I think the body is the same, just the panels are different, not sure though.

99-04 are called: New Edge

Correct, '94 to '98 = SN-95, and '99 to '04 = New Edge.

And is there a way to tell what year a "new edge" is

99-00 had silver headlights, no hoodscoop

01-04 had smoked headlights, hoodscoop

I thought the '99s had a hoodscoop...didn't it come with the 35th anniversary package?

yeah but the normal gt's did not have one

If not mentioned, it seems to me that all 94-04's are SN95's.

This is true.


BTW, the S-197 is just a modified version of the DEW98 platform.

yep 94-04 are all sn95's, the term "new edge" was used to make the diff. from the slight 98 to the 99 body change.

To add on, in '01-'04 silver Bullitt wheels were introduced on normal GTs as an option. Before that they only had the silver 5-spoke concave wheels.

A 35th Anniversary badge came with all '99 GTs. A 40th Anniversary badge came with all '04 GTs.

The spoiler that connects to the decklid at the edges is a good indication of a '99-'00 GT or '99 Cobra ('01-'04 got the 35th Anniversary '99 flat wing).

On the inside, '99-'00 Mustangs came with single-DIN radio slots (the familiar 1+1 radio + CD-player configuration). '01-'04 Mustangs came with the double-DIN slot for the big CD changers/MP3 players. The Mach 1000 system came as an option on '02-'04s. The center console changed slightly in '01-'04 as well. The fog light switch was moved forward and the cupholders were spaced apart.
