My younger brother just graduated high school, & he has a 95 v-6 5spd. He blew the engine a week or so ago & I am going to buy a used engine for him tomorrow. I have made arangements to have it installed this week- What I wanted to know is if I can just buy a Gt 5.0 engine for it or if I need the v-6, what all needs to be swaped to go to the v-8, ir is it to much ofa pane?

Thanks in advance-Josh

Engine, comp, bell housing, radiator fan and housing, if not the whole thing... however, it's easier for the 94s and 95s than later years... but still, that's just speaking relatively. Basically, unless you have a junked GT with all the parts in good order, it's not worth it. I'd say have someone put a brand new or refurbished 3.8 in and if he really wants the GT, sell it and use that towards the GT, or just parts it and get a GT... I could use his EFI harness if you do that... and his stock airbox if he got it.

They're right. It's a pain. If the car isn't his daily driver and you want a project ($$$), then swap it. Of course, like those before me have said, it may be cheaper to just buy a decent GT.

If you really want a costly and time consuming project, locate a 351w to build up
