Quick thank you to Pacific Coast Ford -Federal Way, WA

Just wanted to let anyone around Fed Way area who needs a GOOD and honest dealer, go to Pacific Coast Ford. GM is Scott Hoag, a member here, and all around great guy. Has helped me out twice now!

Long story short, my clutch/TOB was dying (my thoughts). Went to Sound Ford, dealer I bought it at. Told them it was likely the TOB or clutch, came back with a $1500 plus estimate to drop tranny and inspect, they thought it was the main shaft..

Called up Scott at Pac Ford, said come on down to his techs. They find of course it is the TOB and some arm, $200 estimate to fix. A $1300 gap in estimate and Sound Ford would have taken me for every penny.

Total cost in the end:
$114 diagnosis- sound ford
$200 w/tax fix -Pacific Ford
$650 w/tax new clutch I decided to put in since tranny out, new brakes in rear with rotors, and some other maintainence -Pacific Ford
$100 rental car

In the end including the rental and the crap fee at sound ford I was still half of what that POS dealer sound ford would have charged me by the end I am sure. How that place stays around I don't understand.

Sound Ford is the worst dealership I've ever stepped foot on. When I was just LOOKING at an '04 Mach I had one salesman literally screaming at me to buy the car. Other people looking at Mustangs just stared in disbelief. I've bought a couple things from their parts department, but I would never buy a car or let them touch any of my Fords.

Have never had to deal with Pierre. But Harris' service department seems to be a bunch of either fools or criminals. And since last I heard Pierre owns Harris. It doesn't surprise me. I've gone into Sound twice while trying to buy my car. And each time I found a salesperson who was an absolute moron.

I know all about Sound Ford from experience. Good thing I found out about them before I ever bought a car from them. It's good to know about Pierre and Harris also. On the plus side, it's good to know which dealers really care about their customers too. I can say I've been very happy with my experiences at Bowen-Scarff in Kent. I've had all my service done by them. They host a very good annual Mustang event which is put on by the Pacific Cascade Mustang Club that meets there. Good people!

I wish I could still say the same about the folks at Korum in Puyallup. I've bought a Cobra and my current Mustang from them, but the sales people I dealt with in the past have moved on since then. I recently have had two separate very bad experiences there while expressing intrest in a new GT and a used Mach 1. Got flat out lied to both times. At the end of the Mach 1 experience, I had to literally walk into the sales manager's office to get my keys off his desk after asking the sales guy 5 times for them and telling him we were done trying to make a deal on the car. I wouldn't do business with them again.

I've bought two Rangers from Pacific Coast. Both times they were great to deal with. I've only used the Service department once(the spray in bed liner I purchased with the truck) and it was a good experience. They are one of the few dealers I will tell peole to deal with. The only other dealer I've heard good things about is Bickford.

I got shafted at PC Ford, their tire monkey screwed up my rims and the Service manager was a total azzhole about it.

So GLAD you recieved good service.
