My car has been in the body shop for months with the hood off. Lots of body shop dust and dirt got all over my engine.

Now when I push the pedal down I can feel resistance, almost a scraping feel. Whats the best way to clean/lube the end of the throttle cable, and where it hooks up to the throttle body? Or should I buy a new cable?

theres this stuff that i ALWAYS used for my brake cables when i bmx'ed, man, it worked wonders. lol, but i forgot what it's called.

it's used to lubricate cables, so it will work for the throttle. but it's in a white bottle, i know that. just go to a local bike shop and get a bottle of it. the disconnect youre throttle cable and hold it vertical while sqirting the **** down you're cable (between the actual cable and the housing). and while you do that, have someone pump the gas pedal to work the fluid all the way through.

before that though, just check it for kinks. i know mine got bound up whenever i pulled my upper intake, and putit back on without placing it correctly.

good luck.
