Hey all,

I have a '93 LX (2.3L) with the stock 16" 10-hole wheels. Tires are 235/60R15. My Dad on his '66 has some chrome wheels that I like, they kinda look like Welds and are 15". The tires are P185/75R15.

Well, he actually LIKES my wheels. I like his, since I consider anything better than the 10-hole wheels. They're both 4-lug. I do plan on a 5-lug conversion eventually, but until then, will I experience any problems just swapping with him? The tires being narrower kinda worries me, but I'm not corner-carving or hot-rodding around YET. I don't know if I can put wider tires on them, or if I'll be OK driving around town (nothing spirited) with the tires already on them. I'll hopefully have a 5-lug conversion and some better wheels/tires in two months, but until then, I want it to look a LITTLE better.

Any help appreciated, thanks.

'66 Mustangs were four lug? I didn't know that (or maybe I did and forgot).

Honestly I'd keep your ten-holes...handling with 185/75's is going to SUCK! That'd be like driving on a bicycle tire...blech!

Well anyway...you might want to make sure they fit right before committing to anything. I find it hard to believe that a '66 would have the exact same lug pattern as a Fox mustang.

I could be wrong but I thought 66 4 lug, which was stock on 6 cylinder Stangs, are different than Fox body 4 lug.

I spend alot of time on a inline six forum and the classic Stang guys are wanting to run Fox body wheels but cant.

IIRC one is 4 x 4.25" pattern and the other is 4 x 4.5" but I dont remember which is which.
