I'm about to order this from Jegs with the wideband,

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_769800_-1_10373

what bank should I put in the wideband in, Driver side or Passeneger side 02 sensor bung?? I'm going to put on long tubes a little bit later but does it really matter what side I put it on? Anybody ever buy this, I have some questions for you if you do. I'm planning on using it to tune my car through a Tweecer r/t for my S-trim. :D

Personally, I would move it further down the pipe. I installed my WB just past the bend where the X-pipe goes flat along the bottom of the car. WB o2s are internally heated and don't need the heat from the exhaust to make them work. The closer to the end of the exhaust the better.

That looks like a pricey setup...

Will you still be able to run the WB into the tweecer for datalogging?

Considering it looks like a rebadged Innovative lc-1... http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lc1.php ...I'd venture to say it can. It's still something to check into. I'd make sure too that if it is indeed a rebadged lc-1 that it comes with all of the same lc-1 hardware/software.

The drivers side is typically the lean bank on the 5.0. :nice:

Does that mean it just shows lean cuz the location of the 02 sensor?....(since like on stock h pipes they're both in different angles and locations.)?

OR you verified it on your car?

I don't see why one side would be leaner than the other, unless you had a weak or lean cylinder and it made the ratio of that bank read lean? Explain your reasoning

Left bank is typically accepted as being leaner.

Has more to do with the intake manifold (in my opinion) than the location of the O2...

You got it.

Although I myself have not verified it…I took the words of others who had. Either way though the two banks are not going to vary a whole helluva lot. The only way it's going to matter is if you plan on tuning to the ragged edge of detonation. Wherever you put it, just make sure it's located close to vertical as possible. The sensors can get damaged from condensation pooling on it inside the exhaust.

So going by this theory should I put the wideband in the passenger side bung over the driver side, just to have a little extra safety net for detonation (esp. since im going boosted)?

since it prob is a copy of the Innovative LC-1 do they (the Innovative LC-1) have the setup where the computer will have the narrowband signal even from the wideband, so I have two fully working banks for the computer to work from, while still having the wideband to tune with? Thanks

Left bank is drivers side? cylinders 5-8?
Yes you do want to be on the lean side of the motor.

The LC-1 will allow you to simulate the stock NB while datalogging/displaying the WB data.
You still need to confirm that the kit comes with an LC-1 though...
