Qustions about gauge pods? Any pics??

Do they make gauge pods that go in the vents for 2 1/16" gauges (not a-pillar) I can get a killer deal on some gauges but there all 2 1/16"
Has anyone put those in there vents, do they look to small?

I dont have any pics but I've always wondered the same thing. Heres what a gauge panel for the vent looks like with 3 2 1/16" gauges from gaugeplates.com

it says its coming soon so you would prolly have to talk to them yourself to see if it is in production.

Edit: BTW... the vent cover type pods are not too difficult to fab up if you're looking for it to be a particlular way.

i believe they make a vent cover with two 2 1/16" gauges that also lets air flow through still, so you don't sacrifice your a/c or heater vents. not sure but i think mansonazz has this setup?

I used to have some Autometer ones with the A/C vents with 2 5/8" gauges.

They looked OK but did not come with any way for the A/C duct ro route the air behind the gauges and out the vents.crapola

It just opened up behind the gauges a big hole in the duct and would blow the A/C into the back of the gauges and inside the dash.

So I ended up plugging of the entire duct so I could get more pressure out of the side vents and the vents by the guagues were there for their looks.

BTW. The guague pod in "mansonozz's" car was a custom "1 off" done by Alan at Speed of Sound LLC. It turned out sweet but he won't be making anymore.

I was hoping that someone would know a company that sells the vent gauges that hold 2 1/16' gauges. Or someone that had pics. But I've decided to pass on the offer, I think they will be to small even if I find a company that makes them. Thanks for the replies

Unfortunately I dont have any gauges to put in it yet. And you can flip it 180* to have the radio on the bottom.

I just ordered that exact piece on Friday. It's nice to see it installed before it gets here. Now, I am just deciding on what version of Autometer gauges to fill it with. (Oil PSI, Coolant Temp and Oil Temp for an experiment I have planned over the winter)
