Chris when did this happen? I didnt know you where still running a T5. I guess would vote for the T-56. I would be nice to have another gear. I just don't know how much those things handle.

By the way I talked with X2C today and they no longer do any of the V series trannys...only sell reg. TKO500's and TKO600's.
MArk Luton of MMR (former X2C owner) does still modify them to handle way more power...just so everyone knows.

I was gonna say that...Actually, I know you dont mean AODE when you say that, but my AODE, with some Art Carr Components (or any beefy ones) and the current PI Stallion could take up to 600 with no probs.

I would go with something that offers you the choice of your own custom ratios. That way you can calculate the best ratios for your usage/torque curve

joes95, just curious what nightmares you have heard about the new TK500/600? No problems with mine at all. The 6 speed is nice for the cool factor but not really worth the extra money over the TK600. 6th in the T-56 is a .62 ratio and the 5th in the TK-600 is a .64 so thats not going to make any difference in gas milage if that helps your decision any.

Stew you are exactly right.

Killer..MMR is Mark Lutons new company (ModularMustangRacing) he isn't affiliated with X2C anymore. He was the driver of the red car and made X2C famous, but has since had a fall-out with his partners and has went out on his own.

This is te one I'm lookin at

MMR Pro Trans 750
This is our entry level Transmission Derived from the NEW TREMEC TKO 500. Our Pro Trans 750 includes a 26 spline input and 31 spline output shaft at no extra charge, next, 1st, 2nd & 3rd gear along with the cluster gear is then ultrasonically deburred to improve shifting, minimize noise and increase efficiency which means less drive train power loss than a stock transmission. These same parts then receive a heat tempering that dramatically increases strength. The transmission is then re-sealed, serial numbered and shipped to the customer. Each transmission even includes a billet aluminum shifter (handle not included) This transmission is rated by MMR up to 750HP and vehicles running 10.00/138 and slower. Gear ratio’s are 1st- 3.27 2nd- 1.98 3rd- 1.34 4th- 1.00 5th- .68 .

And this clutch

MMR RBT700
Supports up to 700HP for those high HP street cars that need that extra clutch grip to harness all that power, the RBT700 uses a kevlar/multi-friction material to handle all of that power, medium pedal effort and smooth engagment/dis-enagement are charachteristic of this Bad Boy street/strip clutch. Available for 86-00GT and 93-98 COBRA.

Mark designed it with Mcloeds help

He quoted me 2300$ to my door for everything
MMRTKO-750 ft lbs
MMR700 clutch-700hp
TTC aluminum bell (non sfi...I don't race enough..and like they check)
Fox clutch fork
Yoke

I'd need fluid and a shifter handle (use my Ripper)

Not a bad deal...but the Viper spec is STILL calling me
