race buckets what the best way to instal

like the subject says"race buckets what the best way to instal"
we finaly took the jump and bought a set of polly high back race buckets. what the best way to instal them i figger that i would use my old tracks off my old seats the race buckets are a hair slimer so what the best rout of making a bracket to instal them or is thier a better way using brackets off something else. any pictures would be great also thanks for the help

just use ur old ones if u can. i did with my Jaz seats, i dont have pic's with, but i will look for them

Like buddy said just use yor old tracks, width should not matter they are seperate. If the holes do not line up drill new ones in the brackets. I did this just today, the new seats are at least 25lbs lighter each! I put in one bolt per track then just drilled another hole on the bracket to make it work. Super easy. 10mm socket.

anyone have any picts the seats are 1/2 inch slimer on each side. the ony way i could bolt the brackets to the seat is i would have to drill new holes in the floor pan and i dont think that would be safe the factory bolts are renforced in the floor pan for safty reasons. how are you guys doing it. the only way i see is to take steel make a bracket and bolt it to the seat then mount the tracks in the factory space.

That's what I did. I'm running the RCI buckets. Made a bracket out of flat bar. The only problem you may have to watch out for is the position of the seat. The stock seats bolt right at the front of the seat. The race buckets bolt quite a distance back from the front of the seat. This will move the race bucket forward a long ways in comparison to a stock seat. If you're a tall guy you'll need to get the spacing figured out. I put the RCI in the middle of the sliders and I'm only a couple clicks from being all the way back. I'm only 5'6". I do have lots of room though when I slide the seat ahead, which is nice with seats that don't fold forward.

The other thing is to space your bracket up with some washers to clear the seat release. It sticks up from the slider so your bracket won't sit flat on the slider. Other than that it wasn't too bad. The fit is tight so measure twice, cut once.
