nope same cam we've always ran....Did you change the cam? As in a different profile? It takes unburned fuel to cause that condition. So somehow there is fuel in the exhaust that is lighting off, or a lot of fuel is not being burned in the combustion chamber but in the exhaust pipe. In other words, the combustion process is still taking place when the exhaust valve opens and all of that combustion process is now finishing itself in the exhaust pipe.
Well, there you go, activating the nitrous with no load on the engine will do that.nope same cam we've always ran....
btw this isnt him revving on it... these are test fires. a lot of nitrous being thrown down the motor on those few hits
Gotcha. I would love to know if that were the case.. but I cut out the factory rev limiter and have a custom tune. I am using my MSD box but I am not bouncing the limiter when I shift....![]()
What's your setup all consist of for tuning? Given your posts I would think 42lb'ers, bigger MAF, MSD(BTM?). What tuning device are you using.
I'm probably gonna go 42's, SCT or LMAF and hopefully a Kurgan tune next time he is in Chicago(sometime next year).
Currently my car is just stock with an SCI kit and exhaust. Right down to the stock MAF(facepalm).
